Flakkes Privacy Policy

Welcome to Flakkes, a service meant to increase user engagement with online advertisements and allow publishers and advertisers better insights as to user participation and experience from their advertisements.

Flakkes is operated by Flakkes Media (2009) Ltd. a duly incorporated Israeli limited liability company, which has set up this Privacy Policy (hereinafter: Policy) to help you understand our services and how we treat information we might collect, including information about you, during the service.

In order to provide our services to our clients, who include Advertisers, Ad Agencies and Ad Networks (hereinafter: Clients), we may sometimes disclose aggregated non-personally identifiable information about user behaviour using the service to Clients, who shall be required to adhere to non disclosure agreements in order to view and use such data.

1. Data Collected
Flakkes collects data about your activity in Websites using our services and including aggregated non-personal information, personal information and advertisement view, click and rate information. This information will only be shared with our Clients according to this Privacy Policy.

2. Data Not Collected
Flakkes is working with accordance to international regulation and EU standards of privacy and therefore shall never retain or request any information regarding ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union or political party membership, personal health, personal sexual preferences or personal sex life. Flakkes shall never retain data regarding exact name, personal financial transactions, credit card information, email address, user passwords or exact geographical location.

3. Profiling and Personal Data
Flakkes may, sometimes, generate user profiles which contain your preferences, interests and your identifier at our network according to cookies set by Flakkes. This information may contain a unique User ID at our service and/or a cookie.

Flakkes also retains information regarding user preferences which may be mined or processed in order to generate non-personally identifiable user profiles or to profile a specific group under a specific non-personally identifiable user profile.

4. Non Personally Identifiable Data
Flakkes may retain non-personal information including, but not only, identifying the computer you are browsing from, your IP address, your session time, your gender and your visiting time to each webpage.

5. How is Data Collected?
When you view our Application in one of our Clients’ Advertisements, our unique Flakkes Rating System is deployed and places one cookie or more in your computer according to your ratings, if any; A Cookie is a small text file placed on your computer which identifies you as a specific user. This cookie identifies you with our servers and allows us to provide you with services according to your choices. We may retain additional information supplied by Clients according to this policy.

6. How is Data Disclosed?
Flakkes shall disclose non-personal, aggregated, non-identifiable information to Clients. This information shall be used to profile user behaviour and preferences and offer relevant marketing of products and delivery of Advertisements.

7. Use of Your Personal Email
If you opt-in, we may use your personal email to send you offers from our partners from time to time. You may opt out at any time by replying to our email with a removal request or by pressing the removal link in the email. We shall not disclose your email to third parties, but send it from our email to you.

8. When is data erased?
Cookies are stored on your computer for a period of 24 (twenty four) months and will automatically be erased if you haven't viewed any of our Clients' Advertisements for more than 24 months.

9. Security
Data is collected and stored on our own servers or servers of third parties operating on our behalf. Our records which include stored data will not be disclosed to any party unless we are compelled to do so by a judicial order or law; We shall use our best efforts to protect this database from any malicious activity and we request Clients’ strict confidentiality regarding use of the data disclosed.

Aggregated non-personal information, may, however, be used to conduct research.

10. Removal of Data
You may view your user profile at any time and send us comments regarding incorrect user information stored at our database; these requests should be made by a web form located at this address: http://www.flakkes.com/privacy-details

You may also request to remove all personal data stored on our servers. However, you must understand that as data retention is being made by automated computer processes, aggregated non-identifiable information cannot be erased. Also, please keep in mind that in order for our automated systems not to retain any data regarding your activity, you must host a cookie on your computer which informs our servers not to retain any data regarding your activity. We may refuse to remove, disclose or amend data where you have not supplied us with sufficient evidence as to the identity of the requesting party. As we take care for the privacy of others, including users who share the same internet connection and/or computer, it may cause grave harm to disclose personal information without such identification.

Also, we may retain data or refuse to amend it where such amendment was technical and redundant, jeopardizes the privacy of other parties or users, including our Clients' trade secrets and intellectual property or amendments which require major technical efforts which are not in proportion with the benefit from amending the data.

11. Accountability

We shall take the best of means to assure that your data shall be retained and processed by the best of means and that every dispute shall be taken care of and resolved. Our privacy officer shall compile quarterly reports regarding privacy complaints and violations and provide details as to actions taken and remedies.

12. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising by breach of this privacy policy which was not handled by our privacy officer may be brought to the proper regulatory authorities for inspection. We shall provide full cooperation should it be necessary.

13. Amendments
Flakkes may amend this policy from time to time in order to comply with new regulations, new technologies and new services. Flakkes shall archive all dated versions of this policy and shall be compelled to disclose them to users upon request.
